May your coming year be filled with magic and good madnessI hope you

forget to make some art- write or draw or build or sing or live as
only you can. And I hopesomewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.

dear best friend,
i love you more daily. i wish you could
see yourself the way i see you and i wish
you could love yourself the way i love
you. you are perfect in your own definition
of the word. i wish you a world of opportunity,
a home full of love, a mind filled with
questions, and word-happy, kissed-often

words are all we have to understand each other
Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light, and shadows.  Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul.  If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic.  Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent.  And don't bother concealing your thievery- celebrate it if you feel like it.  In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: "It's not where you take things from- it's where you take them to."
-Jim Jarmusch

"I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger
as reason. I am so thirsty for marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I cannot transform
into something marvelous, I let go."

My dream is to walk around the world.
A smallish backpack, all essentials neatly in place.
A camera.
A notebook.
A traveling paint set.
A hat.
Good shoes.
A saucy red dress for the occasional spanish salsa.

Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
